Plan C

Football FallLabor Day was a week ago and I can now comfortably say that summer is over.  I mean, it’s Arizona and still over 100° but school has started and football season is back.  Of course the biggest factor is that I am sick of summer, I am ready for fall.

So on that note, I’ve decided to start a new novella that is not specifically set in the summer. I am excited to start this new project, recently I’ve spent a lot of time on rewrites of an older project. Getting a new idea and being able to run with it is making me very happy. This weekend I got most of my notes done and I’ve already started the first chapter and it’s going well.  A few more thousand words and I’ll be able to get it out to test readers. After that we’ll see about getting it out in e-book form.

So, that’s my week.  What are you up to?

Down time

We’re back from vacation and I’m a little under the weather.  I don’t know if it’s allergies, the hot Arizona weather or post vacation blues, probably a combination of all of them.  Regardless, I am certainly not on my game.  I think I need some time to decompress and not think about all of the things that still need to be done.  Seems like a good time for some Netflix marathoning.

During the summer, my daughter and I have been watching reruns of older shows on a local channel.  It’s been fun to see shows like The Rockford Files, The Mod Squad, Love Boat and Adam-12, among some others.

We’ve really enjoyed Adam-12 but we had just jumped in when we found it on TV.  This afternoon my super smart daughter found the entire series on Netflix.  I guess I’ll be spending the rest of the day with Malloy and Reed.  “One Adam-12.  Clear.”
